Call for Abstracts

The Coalition for Physician Well-Being would like to include a time to share innovative, replicable, and verified metrics of research or program development in the arena of physician & advanced practice provider wellness and burnout issues.

Who can Participate?

 

Physicians, APPs, Hospital Leaders/Administrators, and staff who have developed a program or participated in research in wellness and/or burnout. 

 

Carefully follow the guidelines below to submit a proposal for the Research Poster Session

  • The email submission must include the following information:

    1. ​Title of the paper/program

    2. List of the author(s) in order of proportion of their contribution

      • ​You will need to submit the author’s name, address, and telephone numbers, as well as an email address. Only the first author and principal investigator listed on the submission form will be notified of abstract acceptance.

    3. Institutional affiliation(s)

    4. Complete address of primary researcher 

 

  • Abstracts must be received as an e-mail attachment using MSWord or PDF format. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. EST on January 31, 2025.

  • All abstracts to be submitted electronically in MS Word or PDF format with the subject line stating: Coalition Abstract Submission to info@forphysician.org.

 

Previous Presentations of Abstracts

  • Abstracts previously submitted or presented at other organizations may be submitted for consideration. 

 

Notification of Abstract Selection

  • Following a review by the committee, each presenting author of all abstracts submitted by Jan 31st, will receive notification of the status of their proposal by February 28, 2025. 

 

Withdrawals and Revisions

  • • Withdrawals must be submitted in writing to info@forphysician.org by May 2nd, 2025.

  • • Revisions must be received by April 4th, 2025. Please send to info@forphysician.org

  • • No changes can be submitted after these dates.

Abstract Formatting

  1. Use 12-point Times New Roman (or similar) type. Limit text to 500 words. The 500-word limit does not include abstract titles and authors. 

  2. Include institution, city, and state where research was performed. When submitting the blind copy, omit author names, institution, city, state or any other identifier where research was performed. Omit degrees, titles, institutional appointments, street addresses, and ZIP codes. Single space entire abstract. The left-hand margin of the abstract’s text should be perfectly aligned. 

  3. Use of abbreviations — The use of standard abbreviations is desirable. A special or unusual abbreviation should be placed in parentheses after the first appearance of the full word it represents.

Display and Presentation

​

  1. Authors of all accepted entries must create an art file and submit as a pdf to a size of 48” wide x 36” high prior to the National Conference. Printing of the poster is done by the author. 

  2. Posters easels with a core board backing will be provided at the conference. Please note, posters will have 4 pieces of adhesive on each corner for display onto the core board. 

  3. Authors will have the opportunity to present their research during scheduled breaks/networking sessions to all attendees. 

  4. Presenter is responsible for breaking down their poster upon the completion of the conference. The Coalition is not responsible for shipping any posters left behind.
